Training & CPD

We are an HESPR accredited practice with expertise in understanding and interpreting historic buildings and places, and making them relevant to local communities.

Our specialist training is run by fully accredited members of IHBC, the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists and the Association of Heritage Interpretation. We offer bespoke training for businesses, projects and communities and we are developing the following range of specialist practical and theory based training.


We are currently developing training modules in the following areas:

Reading historic buildings

Learn how to describe historic buildings & interpret their development

  • Ever wondered how to find out more about your locality or a particular building?

  • Designing & delivering community engagement events and activities
  • Learn how to involve local people in your projects


    Interpreting Heritage Assets

    Get to grips with researching and writing engaging text and information for visitors

    How to measure the success of your project

    Learn the basics of project evaluation including how to pick measurable outcomes

    Planning & delivering area based schemes

    Learn what makes a successful townscape heritage or High Street Heritage Action Zone
